The guiding thought behind the BAND Collection is the breakdown of structure. Made up of repetitive angular shapes and raw materials, this conceptual range intentionally challenges the classic lines of furniture design. It’s available in either aluminium or teak wood, and a selection of Terrain Fabrics.
This piece was created by French architect-designer Charlotte Perriand in 1947 for the Hôtel Doron, one of the first chalet-hotels in the winter sports resort of Méribel Les Allues. Perriand was one of the first designers to explore the relationship between humans and their surrounding environment and aimed to use natural materials in her projects. Comfortable, textural and pleasingly tactile, the Doron Hotel armchair is available as a solid teak outdoor version with soft and simple lines.
Palissade by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec is a collection of outdoor furniture designed for use in both domestic and commercial settings. Made from electro-galvanized powder coated steel, the collection by HAY is available in olive, anthracite, light grey and cream white. In March 2019, HAY launched the collection in a hot galvanised edition.
Masterfully balancing form and function, this Outdoor collection comprises a variety of pieces from three different designers.
Børge Mogensen’s range is a slatted design from the 60s and 70s that includes chairs, benches and a table, originally created for his private balcony. Continuing the legacy of functional design, Bodil Kjær’s Indoor-Outdoor series is made with the same attention to detail to unite indoor and outdoor living spaces with simple, streamlined design in durable teak. The third design of the collection, Morten Gøttler’s Outdoor Cuba chair is made for relaxation, featuring a flat-weave rope for a supportive embrace. The ingenious, foldable teak frame makes it easy to move from the house to the garden.
Jasper Morrison’s 1 Inch Reclaimed is made from industrial waste, 90% reclaimed polypropylene and waste wood fiber that would normally be swept into the trash. A durable mono-block stackable chair, it’s engineered to meet the demands of high use environments, and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use in eight colors.
Eos is a, both literally and visually, lightweight outdoor collection with smart proportions and a high level of comfort. With its clean lines, this range is a versatile choice for any outdoor space. Inspiring leisurely outdoor lounging during the long days of summer, the collection was named after Eos, the Greek goddess of dawn and bringer of light.
Interpreting the happiness of outdoor life, Trampoline is a eccentric sunbed with a painted stainless steel structure and soft, playful forms, perfect to be used as an island of relaxation. It is available in two versions, as a low sofa and a four-poster sofa, the latter to provide shade from the sun, and both stand out for the hand-woven polypropylene and nylon rope, which wraps the base and backrest, giving this design its distinctive look.
