One Room Living

London Design Festival 2020

Join us for an exploration of self-reliance, practical necessity and the role good design has to play in our lives.

Exhibition extended to 26 September.

In this year of unprecedented change, we are delighted to present the new SCP 2020 Collection at our One Room Living exhibition, at our Shoreditch showroom for London Design Festival.

At SCP, our ethos is simple: good design can improve the world around us. In this important moment of re-assessment, when the conditions in which we live, work and play are under review, we are committed to keep making products that are beautiful, functional and made to last.

SCP 2020 Collection

The new SCP collection includes a tubular steel easy chair and wooden side table by Matthew Hilton. An experimental armchair and hand made stool by Philippe Malouin, wooden side table from Sarah Kay and a snug tub armchair from Faudet-Harrison. Daniel Schofield has created a versatile sofa, while Reiko Kaneko makes an elegant addition to her terracotta collection

SCP Material Awareness

This London Design Festival, we begin a new programme of activities exploring the materiality of SCP. All of our upholstery designs have been audited for sustainability and are presented with a percentage that denotes the amount of natural materials used in each piece.

SCP are committed getting better at how we design and manufacture, working towards using only sustainable materials in our supply chain and where possible re-using materials within our own ecosystem.

Killing My Darlings by Floris Wubben

Studio Floris Wubben launch exclusive editions for SCP during LDF. Featuring new side tables, each piece is extruded from one shape, Wubben then cuts away several parts, giving the table an entirely new form. The collection also includes new vases that use the same technique and feature additional structural elements. The unique products have a raw, architectural aesthetic, available in the Wubben’s signature palette of glaze colours.

The Physical & Virtual Space

Our physical exhibition at SCP Shoreditch is being staged in accordance with current Government guidelines and we have taken the necessary steps to ensure visitors are safe and secure as possible, but can also have a good time. Our 6000 sq ft showroom helps to facilitate that. We are also providing a programme of digital experiences to enjoy throughout the London Design Festival; ensuring those that may not be able to visit in person, don’t miss out.
