In a recent collaboration with the interior design studio Uchronia, SCP Pimlico Road provided a carefully selected assemblage of furniture for Créatures Paris, a new restaurant located on the rooftop of the Galeries Lafayette.
The brief, given to the project leaders of Moma Group and chef Julien Sebbag, was to create a unique place above the roofs of Paris. The project unveiled an ephemeral and entirely vegetarian restaurant, which was built with elegance, and in complete harmony with the Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann. Visitors can expect urban gardens, a mixology bar, a carefully orchestrated festive programme, and a rooftop reinterpreted as a welcoming atypical eco-system.
Uchronia decorated and designed the place in collaboration with SCP Pimlico Road. The idea behind the project was to create a ‘joyful mess’ with recycled materials as well as high-end designs as a refuge and an exceptional setting. The metal used for the different structures is a wink to the grey-green roof of the Opera house and the other monuments of Paris. In addition to vintage furniture, which was sourced from flea markets around Paris, eye-catching pieces from Moroso and Heerenhuis can be found at this extraordinary place.
