Barrel

The Barrel collection by Philippe Malouin is a range of designs that are a streamline interpretation of wine or whiskey barrels, used as a table base. This typology is applied to a range of objects, which includes a dining table, coffee table, bench and a stool or side table. The entire design is formed by the repetition of a single wood plank, for both the circular bases, and in laminated form for the creation of the solid tops. The result is a simple yet sturdy, brutalist home object.

Home

Piet Hein Eek, a new designer to SCP, is a well established industry innovator, whose clever approach to material use has reinvigorated design manufacturing in Eindhoven. He has created the Home sofa, a low-profile deep-seated piece, with a curvaceous solid wood frame that uses an intricate modular construction.

Rug Collection

Introducing three new rug designs and three new plain colourways. A desire to experiment, the spirit of adventure and a fascination with production techniques have all contributed to the development of the SCP and Donna Wilson rug collection. This collection finds new expression for her creative talents. Inspired by both nature and the lightness and fluidity of watercolour painting, these designs have something of the elemental about them.

Group

The Group collection by Philippe Malouin began life as a compact occasional chair with a swivel base, and has now developed into a full range of typologies, including a compact and standard size sofa and armchair. The design uses strong primary shapes and retains perfect proportion.

Beam

The Beam collection by Matthew Hilton is a new design that effortlessly blends together steel, wood and glass. It comes as either a coffee table or as a desk. It is angular in character and is constructed with and a high level of refinement.

Permanent Collection

Alongside the new product releases, SCP also present the Orlando lounge chair by Reiko Kaneko and the Crosscut coat hooks by Faudet-Harrison. The Orlando lounge chair is a steel framed design, with walnut or oak arm rests, an upholstered backrest and a feather & foam seat cushion on an upholstered pad. The design sits low to the floor, with a small footprint, yet has noticeably generous proportions. The Crosscut coat hooks are an ingeniously minimal design made from a single piece of laser-cut rectangular steel with three, five or seven cylindrical solid wood hooks. At Maison & Objet, they are presented with new walnut hooks.
