At the London Design Festival 2017, from 16-24 September, we are dedicating all three floors of their Curtain Road headquarters to a celebration of the relationship between people and objects, with a programme of product launches, exhibitions and experiences to enjoy.
Events include a collaboration between SCP X Penguin X Jasper Morrison, an exhibition of SCP’s 2017 Collection, a one-day immersive furniture and lighting experience called Under the Arches with British lighting brand Tala and a showcase of how Cass Starters launched their student projects with Kickstarter.
With late night opening hours plus our official launch party on Tuesday 19 September to enjoy all that we have to offer, read on below for the full SCP x LDF programme.
SCP x Penguin x Jasper Morrison
SCP launch a new product collaboration with Penguin Books and Jasper Morrison. Working with the Penguin Modern Classics imprint, SCP have developed the Penguin Huddle, a Jasper Morrison design that creates a new home for books.
SCP 2017 Collection
New upholstery, lighting & textiles
SCP present their 2017 collection in a dedicated exhibition on the first floor of Curtain Road. The new designs are the Miles sofa system by Matthew Hilton, the Group upholstered cocktail chair by Philippe Malouin and a collection of bone china chandeliers by Reiko Kaneko named Yumi. Also on show are updated versions of the Continuous sofa system by Faudet-Harrison.
Launching for the first time during the LDF is Crovie, a new woven fabric by Donna Wilson for SCP.
Under The Arches
Tala x SCP
Pioneering lighting brand Tala and SCP present a one-day immersive furniture and lighting exhibition showcasing their latest designs. Under the Arches features specially curated room-sets comprised of both companies latest designs alongside a bespoke introspective mirrored lighting installation, linking together two beautifully-restored arches on Old Street.
The CASS x SCP
Students of The Cass (London Met University) were briefed by SCP to create small, easily-shipped domestic products. With the help of the university, and their tutor and SCP designer Peter Marigold, the products were brought to market through a successful crowdfunding project entitled Cass Starters.
An exhibition of the Cass Starters project is on display and available to purchase at SCP during the London Design Festival 2017.
Roll & Hill
SCP’s long time collaborator Roll & Hill present new lighting designs and finishes for the season. Including the Halo and Esper pendants, and Fiddlehead pendants and sconces. These designs will illuminate the first floor at SCP East.
