London Design Festival

The London Design Festival conquered the capital last week – with over 375,000 design-minded attendees traversing the city to explore more than 400 events spanning from Somerset House to the V&A and our very own design district, Shoreditch Design Triangle.

And what a week it was. At SCP we hosted six different shows across nine days: new work from Piet Hein Eek, SCP, Roll & Hill, Donna Wilson, Hannah Waldron and an exhibition of contemporary Mexican craft. While still finding time to squeeze in a designer dinner, LDF opening party and an In Conversation with Piet Hein Eek, hosted by the Design Museum’s director, Deyan Sudjic.

Over and out.

During the Design Festival we entered the world of Piet Hein Eek for our first In Conversation event, hosted by the Design Museum’s director, Deyan Sudjic. Here, to a crowd of over 60, Piet and Deyan discussed the meticulous process and detailing that goes into each of his one-off pieces and what makes a design icon.
