Festival of Craft

If the prospect of strategically jostling through mud, music and mayhem in a makeshift waterproof sounds more like your version of festival hell than heaven, then let us introduce you to London Craft Week: a celebration of artisans, master makers and creatives around the capital. And while it’s set to be a crafty affair, it’s certainly not the country bumpkin fare you might associate with hobbying – nor will you see welly in sight.

Since its inaugural launch last year, LCW has quickly become the hottest ticket in town. And it’s easy to see why. A vivid medley of craftspeople, luxury brands and galleries join forces to create a week of tutorials, demonstrations and workshops. Those attending can expect to try their hand at weaving to watchmaking – you can even see how pianos are made.

Among other things, the line-up provides the perfect opportunity to increase your knowledge and appreciation of craft… plus, if a sporadic shower hits, you can jump in your nearest Uber.

The event itself kicks off next week from 3 – 7 May. And in preparation, we shine a spotlight on the skilled craftspeople from around the globe and unique products they make.

So put down your pac-a-mac and don your whitest Stan Smiths – we’ll see you at the front.
