New York based manufacturer Roll & Hill have firmly established themselves as the leading American contemporary lighting brand. Their reputation is founded on a collection of lights that use high-quality materials, experimental ideas and a touch of aesthetic nonconformity. On show are Gridlock by Philippe Malouin, Agnes by Lindsey Adelman, Maxhedron by Bec Brittain, Rudi by Lukas Peet, Modo and Fiddlehead by Jason Miller.
Emerging Dutch studio Dirk Vander Kooij are showing with SCP for the first time. They were founded by Design Academy Eindhoven graduate Dirk Vander Kooij in 2010 with the aspiration to create handcrafted objects that embrace the use of new technologies. On show is The Fresnel Light by Dirk Vander Kooij, a beautiful design inspired by the Fresnel lens used in lighthouses.
To celebrate 30 years, SCP have launched SCP Classics, a new collection of designs re-issued from the SCP archive. SCP have chosen the most coveted products from the archive and invited the designers to re-visit each product. Some remain unchanged from the original and some have been updated with new materials, finishes or dimensions. Designs from Jasper Morrison, Matthew Hilton, Konstantin Grcic, Terence Woodgate, James Irvine and Rachel Whiteread.
