Ok, so the weather is still bitterly cold but the good news is you’ve got more time to stay indoors and get cosy around the dinner table. In this spirit, we’ve gathered together a selection of our new arrivals that are perfect for sprucing up your dining room, breakfast bar or kitchenette.
We love these beautifully simple trestles (pictured above) by Torafu Architects for Ishinomaki Laboratory; a community centre established by designers in the wake of the 2011 tsunami. These A-shaped trestles can also be used as a high stool or can be joined in sequence to make a bench of any length. They’re made using basic 2×4 planks of red cedar and can be packed flat for storage and transportation.
