Nos Da in the making

SCP owner, Sheridan Coakley recently paid a visit to a traditional textile mill in the South West of Wales where our Nos Da and Bora Da fabric is woven. Take a look below at the behind-the-scenes footage of the fabric in production.

The machinery has been in use for nearly a century and is still going strong today. It was originally powered by water but this has now given way to electrical power.

Using wool that is spun and dyed in England, this particular machine weaves around twenty meters of fabric a day.

By utilising a time-honoured double cloth weaving technique, we have created a pleasing multi-layered aesthetic, full of colour and character. We are delighted to tap into the rich thread of British textile history.
