SCP will be exhibiting the Autumn Winter 2012 Collection in Paris this September. The new range features pieces by both new and existing designers, with a particular focus this year on accessories alongside some future classic items of furniture and lighting.

Always searching for new talent for our collaborative design process, we headed to the USA and met some very exciting designers to add to the SCP cohort. Bec Brittain runs her own product design studio in Brooklyn, working on projects from jewellery to sculptures to lighting. She has designed a passivated steel cube pendant light for SCP titled Axial. We have also been working with the young, contemporary design studio Fort Standard, founded by Gregory Buntain and Ian Collings. They work with traditional production methods in new ways, and this is perfectly demonstrated in the Sprue candelabra and candlestick, a result of elemental bronze casting. Simply formed wooden magnets and wall hooks titled Standard complete the collection from the duo.

Of course, we will also be exhibiting products by some of our existing designers. Donna Wilson brings some colour to the season with the geometric Fort trays, so called because the design resembles tiny medieval castles, while her large Forest bowl is a modern play on the classic Willow pattern. She has also designed some cottage-chic wall shelves with detailed fretwork to join her Bertha range. Faudet-Harrison have moved away from upholstery and turned their hands to lighting design, their Boundary suspension 120 and 300 lights will be on show. The precise craftsmanship of Kay+Stemmer comes into play once again as they add a beautiful walnut console and mirror to the Agnes range, while Ineke Hans has designed a coat hook for the popular Welland collection.

All in all a diverse new collection for SCP as we welcome some new international designers to the fold and see the focus of the show on smaller pieces of furniture, accessories and lighting. See you in Paris.
